
Eleanor Eva Willson, age 85, of Fairview,
Michigan (formerly of Clifford, Michigan) died Monday, February 9, 2004 at her
home.
Eleanor was born October 28, 1918, in Burlington Township, Michigan, the
daughter of the late William and Elsie (Abel) Day and step-mother, Alice Day.
Eleanor grew up in the North Branch, Michigan area and attended North Branch
High School. She married John D. Willson on June 17, 1936, he preceded her in
death.
Eleanor was a homemaker, and enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and gardening. Eleanor
and John owned and operated Willson's Market in Clifford for 10 years. She was a
life member and past Nobel Grand of the Rebecca Lodge of Clifford.
She is survived by daughters; Jean (Dean) Baumgartner of Zephyrhills, Florida,
Mary Ellen (Marvin) Taylor of Presque Isle, Michigan, and Lynda (Larry) Jackson
of Bay City, Michigan, son; Bernard (Ruthann) Willson of Clifford, Michigan,
sisters; Evelyn Moyer of Bay City and Joyce Sleek of Westland, Michigan, 10
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and sister Edwina Koch.
Memorials may be made to the North Branch United Methodist Church Building Fund.
The family will be present at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home for
visitation, Wednesday, February 11, 2004 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Thursday,
February 12, 2004 from 11 am to 1 pm. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM,
Thursday, February 12, 2004 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rev.
Wayne Ferrigan officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
