Garth L. Weathers, age 52, of North Branch, Michigan died August 26, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Garth was born January 5, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Houston and Florence (Plaxton) Weathers.

Garth served his country as a Corporal in the US. Marine Corps. He retired from Borg Warner Automotive in Sterling Heights, Michigan after 29 years of service. Garth enjoyed NASCAR Racing, fishing, hunting, truck and tractor pulls, hockey and playing horse shoes.

Garth is survived by his son, Scot (fiancée, Candi) of North Branch, Michigan, 4 grandchildren, sisters; Gail Sikes of New Jersey, Ann Mavity of Ohio, Charyl Szukalowski of North Branch, Michigan, and Jan (husband, Bill) Tullock of Las Vegas, and brother, Woody (wife, Justine) Weathers of Oak Park, Michigan. He will be greatly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Houston.

The family will be present at the funeral home for visitation on Thursday, August 28, 2003 from 11 to 2 and 4 to 8, Friday, August 29, 2003 from 10 to 11. The service will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 29, 2003 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, with Country Christen's Associate Minister, Rick Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in West Deerfield Cemetery, Fostoria, Michigan.
