
John Terranova, age 74, of Huston, Texas, died Friday, July 11, 2003 at Houston Northwest Hospital. John was born December 14, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Charles and Carmellina (Costelano) Terranova.
John grew up in Brooklyn, New York and attended school in Brooklyn. After High School he had 2 years of trade school and 1 year of college. John served his country in the U. S. Army. On May 4, 1978, he married Kim Ragatz in Texas. John was owner and a technician for a Commercial Heating and Cooling Company. He was a member of the Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, and volunteered his time at the Houston Northwest Hospital. He enjoyed golfing, deep sea fishing, loved boating and playing baseball. Before John enlisted for the service, he received a letter from the Yankees to play professional softball.
Left to cherish his memory are; wife, Kim, children; Bianca and Walter John all of Houston, Texas, brother Gil (Molly) Terranova of New York, grandchildren; Sean Gianina, Charles Terranova, and Sarah and Samantha Dunn, parents-in-law, Walt and Jean Ragatz of North Branch, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Michael and Mario, sister, Josephine.
Memorials may be directed to the family for use at their discretion.
The family will be present for visitation on Monday, July 14, 2003 from 5 to 8, Tuesday, July 15, 2003 from 11 to 1 and 4 to 8, Wednesday, July 16, 2003 from 10 to 11. The service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July at, 2003 Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hutchinson officiating. Brial will be in Goodland Township Cemetery, Imlay City, Michigan.
