
C J. Swoish, age 81, of North Branch, Michigan, died January 30, 2003 at Marlette Hospice Residence. C. J. was born January 17, 1922 in North Branch, Michigan the son of Caroline (Nellenbach) and Christian Swoish.
C. J. married Blanch Reynolds on January 19, 1952 in St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a lifelong resident of North Branch and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. C. J. was an area farmer his entire life, and enjoyed his antique tractors. All of his children continue to live on the Swoish farm.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche, daughter, Judy (Lou) Stalker, sons; Al (Linda) and Gary (Jane) all of North Branch, grandchildren; Caneda Stalker of Alma, Nathaniel Stalker of Redford, Rodney Stalker, Jon Stalker and Timothy Stalker, Caryn (Kurt) Knappen, Christina (Joe) McCalla, Michael Swoish, Alicia Swoish, Travis (Jennifer) Swoish, Jacob Swoish, Katie Swoish, Ben Swoish, Chris Swoish and Matt Swoish, great-granddaughter, Emilee Knappen, brother, Leo (Violet) Swoish all of North Branch, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Marlette United Hospice or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2003 from 6 to 8, Friday, January 30, 2003 from 11 to 1 and 4 to 8. The funeral mass will be 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burnside, Michigan. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Rev. Lawrence Dunn will be officiating.
