Arnold John Skalski, age 69, of North Branch, Michigan, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Arnold was born May 23, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Thaddeus and Sophia (Michalac) Skalski.
Arnold grew up in Detroit and attended Ohio Catholic School and in 1953 he graduated from the Michigan School For The Deaf. On April 12, 1958, he married Amy Heald in Detroit, Michigan.
Arnold retired from Pontiac General Motors. He enjoyed woodworking and art work.
He will sadly be missed by his wife and family.

He is survived by wife, Amy, daughter, Tammy (Billie) Bates of North Branch, Michigan, sons; Calvin Skalski of Arizona, Daniel (Pamela) Skalski of Burton, Michigan, Brian (Sherry) Skalski of Lapeer, Michigan Noah (Grace) Skalski of North Branch, Michigan, Phillip (Rachelle) Skalski of Flushing, Michigan, Mark (Beth) Skalski of Lapeer, Michigan, sister, Carol Smith of Lake City, Michigan, 19 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the family for use at their discretion.

Family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 from 6:00to 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2004 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm and 4 :00 to 8 :00 pm and Friday, January 16, 2004 from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. The funeral is 11:00, Friday, January 16, 2003 at Blackburn Chapel-martin Funeral Home. Cremation to follow.
