
Fred Naracon, age 69 of North Branch, Michigan, died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. He was born August 29, 1933 to Leo and Margaret (Jordan) Naracon. He married Virginia Stine at St. Mary's Catholic Church on September 18, 1954.
Fred grew up in the North Branch, Michigan and graduated from North Branch High School in 1953. He retired from AC Spark Plug in 1987 after 34 years of service, and was a bus driver for 13 years for North Branch Area School District. Fred was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, North Branch Knights of Columbus #9568, President of the Pinochle Club, and past chairman for the North Branch July 4 Parade for 8 years. He enjoyed gardening, camping, crocheting, celebrating and decorating for all of the holidays, and loved his 1961 Chevrolet Parkwood station wagon. Fred always looked forward to the family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughters, Margaret (Dennis) Marshall of Lapeer, Michigan, Cathy (Mark) Kinch of North Branch, Michigan, Mary Jo (Wally) Wallington of Otter Lake, Michigan and Carrie (Kevin) Dieckmann of North Branch, Michigan; sons, Danny (Phyllis) of Arkansas, Duane (Lori) of North Branch, Michigan and Steve (Cathy Jo) Welling of Lapeer, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Snyder of Fostoria and Mary Jane Kester of Mayville; brother, Robert; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister.

The Rosary was prayed Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, North Branch, Michigan.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch, Michigan. Fr. Rich Treml will officiate. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
