Lois Lake, age 85, of North Branch, Michigan, died Friday, February 21, 2003 at the Briarwood Manor, Flint, Michigan. Lois was born December 17, 1917 in Marlette, Michigan, the daughter of Willard and Ethel (Caldwell) Chase.

Lois graduated from North Branch High School. She was a lifelong resident of North Branch, North Branch Eastern Star Chapter #149, and North Branch United Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed spending time with children (she was a playground aide). She liked to crochet, read and play cards with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Lake of Davison, Michigan and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Morris, brother, Robert, and nephews; Willard and Bill.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the North Branch Thrift Shop.

There will be a Eastern Star Service 7:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Blackburn Chapel. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 23, 2003 at Blackburn Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Ferrigan officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
