
Addie M. Ivory, age 77, of Fostoria, died Monday, August 18, 2003. Addie was born May 14, 1926 in Deerfield Township, she was the daughter of Herbert and Jessie (Folsom) Matheson.
Addie graduated from North Branch High School in 1944, and on May 10, 1946 she married Earl Ivory. In 1988 she retired from Lapeer County Treasury Office, and she was treasurer for Deerfield Township for over 30 years. Addie enjoyed canning, baking, gardening, watching the hummingbirds and playing cards. She was a member of the West Deerfield Church and the West Deerfield Methodist Women's Association.
She is survived by her sons; Dallas Ivory of Otter Lake, Michigan Terry Ivory of Fostoria, Michigan and Bill (wife, Karen) Ivory of Winchester, Virginia, brother, Leo Matherson of Clio, Michigan, grandchildren Samantha (husband, Chris) Tarabek, Brian Ivory, Jesse Ivory, Shannon (husband, Kevin) Castle, and Ian Ivory, a special niece, Phyllis (husband Ernie) Senko of North Branch, Michigan, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl in 1986, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Family suggest memorials may be made to the West Deerfield Methodist Church.
The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 from 7 to 8, Thursday, August 21, 2003 from 10 to 12 and 1 to 8, and Friday, August 22, 2003 from 1 to 2 with the service at 2:00 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Fairchild officiating. Burial will be in West Deerfield Cemetery, Fostoria, Michigan.
