
Ethel A. Caldwell, age 84, of North Branch,
Michigan, died Thursday, December 25, 2003 at the Marlette United Hospice
Residence. Ethel was born January 31, 1919, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Bossard)
Turner in North Branch Township, Michigan.
Ethel married Glenn Caldwell on March 13, 1937, he preceded her in death in
1998. Ethel enjoyed making quilts, cooking, baking bread and her favorite
chocolate chip cookies, but the most important thing in her life was spending
time with family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons; Ronald (Charlene) Caldwell, Eugene (Debbie) Caldwell, daughter, Judy Shockey all of North Branch, Michigan, brother, Alvin (Donna) Tuner of North Branch, Michigan, sister, Mabel (Arwood) Thompson of Flint, Michigan, sisters-in-law; Betty Caldwell of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Jean Caldwell of North Branch, Michigan, and Mae Tuner of Wayne, Michigan, brother-in-law, Carl Caldwell of North Branch, Michigan, grandchildren; Jim (Robin) Ireland, Michael (Laura) Caldwell, Ty (fiancée, Melissa) Caldwell, Michele (Michael) Perry, Tess (David) Main, Melissa (Loren) Caldwell Andres, Janay (John) Knop, Carmen (Jeff) Welch, James (Fiancée, Kelly) Shockey, Lisa (Chris) Curtis, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, daughter, Mary Jane Caldwell, son, Donald Caldwell and 1 granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to the Marlette Extended Care Activity Fund.
The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, December 27, 2003 from 5 to 8 pm, Sunday, December 28, 2003 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2003 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Branch, Michigan.
