Eleanor "Connie" Caldwell, age 78 of North Branch, died July 26, 2002 at her home. Connie was born on September 1, 1923 in Almont Twp., the daughter of Frederick and Catherine (LaBeau) Rabert.

She grew up in the Almont area. On September 18, 1948 she married Carlton Caldwell in North Branch Township. Connie was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening and canning. She is survived by her husband, Carlton "Pecky" Caldwell, daughters; Marsha (husband, Gary) Sabo of Lapeer, and Bonnie (husband, Rod) Bridger of North Branch, son, Carlton "Jake" (wife, Linda) Caldwell of Mayville, sisters; Evelyn Bennett of North Branch, Rosemary (husband, John) Bruner of Florida, and Rosalie (husband, Willie) Bellamy of Shelby Twp., 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Glennie Robert, Brothers; Arthur, Ronald, and Joseph, sister, Bernice.

Memorials may be directed to the family for use at their discretion.

The family will be present for visitation on Sunday, July 28, 2002 from 6 to 8, Monday, July 29, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8, and Tuesday, July 30, 2002 from 10 to 11. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Danforth officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Branch.
