
Frank J. Bowman, age 83, of Fostoria, died
Monday, October 6, 2003 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. Frank was born September 3,
1920 the son of Frank W. and Pearl (Anderson) Bowman.
Frank grew up in the Pontiac, Michigan area and attended Pontiac School
District. He was in the U.S. Army and was an ambulance driver while service his
country. On August 1, 1978 he retired from Pontiac Motors as a truck driver.
Frank married Clarabelle Gates on June 19, 1954 in North Branch, Michigan. He
enjoyed farming, watching baseball, and spending time with his children and
grandchildren.
Frank was a past-board member and Sunday School teacher at North Branch Wesleyan
Church.
Frank is survived by his wife, Clarabelle, daughters; Jane (Allan) Montero of Chesaning, Michigan, Linda (Michael) Bloss of Otter Lake, Michigan, Diane Bowman of Fostoria, Michigan, sons; Brian (Debbie) Bowman of Fostoria, Michigan, Kevin (Lisa) Bowman of Fostoria, Michigan, and David (Shelly) Bowman of Clifford, Michigan, grandchildren; Allison (James) Randall, Aaron, Andy and Adam Montero, Heather, Amanda, Nathaniel, and Amanda Bowman, and Emma Bloss, great-grandchild, Austin Bowman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family suggests memorials made to the North Branch Wesleyan Church.
The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 from 4
to 8 pm, and Thursday, October 9, 2003, Frank will lie in state at the North
Branch Wesleyan Church from 10 to 11 am, with the funeral service at 11:00 A.M.
Pastor Dale Parsons will officiate. The burial will be in Rich Township
Cemetery.
