Exie Bodmer, age 99, of North Branch, Michigan, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Marlette Community Hospital, Marlette, Michigan. She was living in Marlette Extended Care Facility for the past 5 years. Exie was born September 13, 1904 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of William and Selma (Grooms) Knauff.
Exie married Russell Bodmer March 1922. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking and canning for her family. Exie was a member of the North Branch Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy O'Leary and son, Kenneth (wife, Nellie) Bodmer both of North Branch, Michigan, 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces., of Fostoria, died Monday, October 6, 2003 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. Frank was born September 3, 1920 the son of Frank W. and Pearl (Anderson) Bowman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, daughter, Martha, and great-great-granddaughter, Mariah.

Memorials may be made to the Marlette Extended Care Facility, Marlette, Michigan.

The family will be present at the funeral home for visitation on Friday, October 31, 2003 from 2 to 8 pm and Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the North Branch Wesleyan Church from 10:30 to 11:00 am with the service to follow. Pastor Dale Parsons and Pastor Russell Summers will be officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery, North Branch, Michigan.
